Alebrijes are brightly colored Mexican folk art sculptures of fantastical (fantasy/mythical) creatures.

Alebrijes are often seen as the representation of the artist dreams. In fact, that’s how they started, when Pedro Linares, back in the 30’s, dreamed of a strange place full of these creatures. One of the creatures shouted the word Alebrijes. Later interpretations consider Alebrijes as your spirit guide.
